Canadian visa information

Participants attending FIGO Montréal 2027 in Canada may require a visa or Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter the country.

Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality and country of residence. Delegates are strongly encouraged to review entry requirements and begin their visa application process as early as possible, as processing times can vary and may take up to one year in some countries.

When should I apply?

Visa processing times vary significantly depending on the country of application. Some FIGO member societies have reported processing times of up to 12 months.

For this reason, we strongly recommend that delegates:

  • Review visa requirements as soon as possible

  • Begin the visa application process early

  • Register for the congress as soon as registration opens

Online registration for FIGO Montréal 2027 is expected to open in Autumn 2026.

During the registration process, select the option to receive a visa invitation letter and fill in the required information. After payment you will receive a confirmation email with your visa invitation letter.

Visa-required countries: Apply for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) via the IRCC Secure Network.
Visa-exempt countries: Apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).
Step 3:
Gather all required
documents
Passport, invitation letter, proof of funds, and other supporting materials.
Step 4:
Submit your completed application ASAP
Avoid delays by applying early and ensuring all documents are complete.
